Long-time Service Manager in Biggar set to Retire

posted on Friday, June 10, 2022 in Dealer News

A familiar face at our Biggar dealership will retire after 30 years of service.
Randy Edwards has been the Service Manager there for the past 22 years.

He began his career as a Service Technician in 1991 at Davidson Equipment and then transitioned to the Service Manager in Biggar. Randy said he has seen incredible changes in agriculture over the past 30 years, “we have gone from doing everything manually to machines that steer and set themselves automatically with minimum of effort on the operator's part. The age of precision farming is here for a lot of producers, and it is having a great impact both economically and environmentally.”

Upon reflecting about his time with Western Sales he said, “the company has been a great place to work.  There are always challenges within the ag industry, but Western Sales has so many great people willing to help when asked. It’s been a wonderful journey.”

We thank him for his commitment and dedication to customer support for the last 33 years and wish him all the best in retirement. Randy’s last day will be June 29th, 2022. Alasdair Russel begin in the role as Service Manager for our Biggar Dealership on July 4th, 2022.
